The Email Strategy Behind a Repeat Booking

The easiest booking to win is a repeat one — someone who already stayed, already had a good experience, and just needs a reason to come back before they book somewhere else instead. Email is the channel built for exactly that, and it’s the one most vacation rental owners skip entirely.

Our approach starts right after checkout, not months later: a follow-up that isn’t just “please leave a review,” but something that actually adds value — a thank-you, a note about what’s coming up seasonally at the property, and a soft, no-pressure nudge toward booking their next stay directly rather than through a third-party platform (which matters, since a direct booking means no platform fee eating into the value guests get and a more direct relationship with the property going forward).

From there, it’s seasonal: a note before the property’s busiest season fills up, a heads-up when a specific week or holiday tends to book out early, and the occasional “we haven’t seen you in a while” message — spaced out enough that it reads as helpful, not like a company that emails constantly because it can.

None of this replaces a strong listing or good guest experience — it just makes sure the guests who already had one don’t forget to come back. It’s one piece of the Marketing Add-On, available on either partnership tier.
